Salwa Zudum Again...

The Hindu reports that Salwa Zudum men are pursuing maoist sympthisers in the Chattisgarh-Andhra Pradesh border with the tacit approval of the police. Extremely interesting to know that. When I recently wrote about the organization's founder, I was not very sure about how strong they were and how serious they were. I guess this news puts those doubts to rest.

Twenty -six of their men were killed recently by the naxals in a land mine explosion. It is encouraging to know that there is some kind of retaliation to that.

Meanwhile, the Indian government still seems to be underestimating the menace of the naxals and their outdated, regressive ideology.
